Laugharne Man Featured In New Book on CoastLauharne bookshop owner George Tremlett is to be featured in a new book on the BBC series Coast. The book contains images from all of the places the BBC team visited during the making of the programme. Local photographer Alan Evans was asked to supply some images for consideration for the book. “I have a decent portfolio of images of Laugharne so I sent a selection. They chose the one of George sitting behind a pile of books in his shop. I am quite honoured that the publishers contacted me and I am looking forward to seeing the complete book.” Mr. Tremlett said “I haven’t seen the picture yet but it is fantastic that Laugharne has been featured. I have been in the shop for 28 years and Laugharne’s secret is that it has managed to retain its charm”. The book is published by Simon and Schuster and should be available at Christmas time.
